Tier3Tech has officially achieved Microsoft Solutions Partner status across three designation areas: Modern Work, Infrastructure, and Security. This makes us one of only a small number of IT companies in Ireland to hold all three designations simultaneously.

Tier3Tech has achieved Microsoft Solutions Partner status across three designation areas: Modern Work, Infrastructure, and Security — making us one of only a small number of IT companies in Ireland to hold all three simultaneously.
This is not a self-declared accreditation. Microsoft replaced the old Silver and Gold competency model with Solutions Partner designations, and earning one requires a minimum score of 70 out of 100 across three independently verified categories:
- Performance — net new customers brought onto Microsoft cloud over the past 12 months
- Skilling — certified engineers at intermediate and advanced levels across each designation area
- Customer success — active usage and deployment growth across our client base, measured by Microsoft
You cannot buy it. You cannot earn it through one project. It requires consistent, measurable delivery across your entire client portfolio — verified by Microsoft using real data.

It covers not just whether they can provision licences, but whether they drive genuine adoption, govern the environment properly, and help clients get measurable value from what they are paying for.
Infrastructure covers the Azure environments we design, migrate to, and manage for Irish businesses — including Azure Virtual Desktop, cloud backup hosted in Microsoft’s Dublin data centre, and on-premises to cloud migrations.
This designation confirms that our clients’ Azure environments are not sitting idle. They are active, growing, and managed correctly.
For Irish businesses specifically, the Infrastructure designation is directly relevant to two critical decisions: where your data lives, and whether your IT partner can design and maintain Azure environments that are GDPR-compliant, resilient, and genuinely managed rather than provisioned and left.
Microsoft assesses Infrastructure partners on net new Azure customers, certified Azure engineers, and active Azure usage growth across their client base. You cannot hold this designation by telling clients Azure is the right answer. You have to demonstrate that your clients are actually using it, successfully, under your management.
Security covers the Microsoft security and compliance platform — Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview and Entra — protecting Irish businesses against an increasingly sophisticated threat landscape, and helping them meet GDPR obligations with a verified, expert partner.
This is the designation fewest Irish Microsoft partners hold. We hold it alongside the other two.
The Microsoft Solutions Partner for Security designation highlights a partner’s expertise in delivering advanced security solutions and assures clients of their commitment to maintaining high security standards — increasingly critical as cybersecurity threats against Irish businesses grow more sophisticated.
For Irish businesses operating under GDPR, the Security designation carries particular weight. It validates expertise across Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Sentinel (the SIEM and SOAR platform), Microsoft Purview (data governance and compliance), and Microsoft Entra (identity and access management). These are the tools that protect your identities, devices, data, and infrastructure — and deploying them correctly requires specialist knowledge that not every Microsoft partner has demonstrated.
