David Waldron
Managing Director
David has a wealth of experience from his 20 years in the IT industry since he completed his Honours Degree in Business Computing in 2001. David co-founded CloudStrong Ltd along with current team member Daryl Byrne in 2012 and were successfully acquired by Arkphire in 2018. A former National Council member at ISME for 4 years has brought David invaluable insights into the running of Irish SMEs and the challenges they face on a daily basis. Currently Secretary of Coiste Iomána in Roscommon for underage hurling.
Daryl Byrne
CTO
Daryl Byrne was previously Chief Technology Officer at CloudStrong prior to the acquisition of Arkphire. Daryl’s role in Tier3Tech is the same as CloudStrong to build and innovate on the Microsoft Azure technology stack. Solutions such as optimising Azure Virtual Desktops for SMEs, building out PaaS and IaaS environments to streamline processes and minimise singular points of failure within a company. Daryl holds a number of Certifications for both Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure. Aside from supporting his native Galway in the All-Ireland Championship games, His passion is rolling out new technologies in his spare time and constantly upskilling on the Microsoft Azure platform. Dreams of both Liam and Sam coming back to Galway next year! (Keep Dreaming Daryl!)
Saif Rehman
Helpdesk Support Manager
Saif is in charge of managing the Support Desk for Tier3Tech and taking charge of the scheduling of tickets for our clients. An avid technology enthusiast, Saif takes great pride in always ensuring clients are on the latest technology roadmap to minimise risk and always be one step ahead. Having a number of years experience in SME IT Support, Umar knows how important it is for efficiency of employees when it comes to maximising their day to day tasks. Saif lives by the philosophy that once you are talking about IT, you need to change the way you work with IT. An Azure and SharePoint advocate, Saif loves innovating new ways for clients to adopt to these technologies. .
Sheraz Khan
Azure Virtual Desktop Specialist
Sheraz is an invaluable asset to the Tier3Tech Team with over 10 years of experience in deploying Cloud infrastructure solutions. Sheraz has 4 years experience with the Microsoft Award Winning US company dinCloud. Having specialised in Hosted Virtual Desktops, Private Virtual Servers and SQL Database as a Service solutions, this brings a wealth of knowledge to the Tier3Tech team. Now focusing on the Microsoft Azure suite of solutions, in particular Azure Virtual Desktop, Sheraz believes a blend of SaaS Microsoft 365), PaaS (Azure Virtual Desktops and SQL as a Service) and IaaS ( Virtual Servers) is the way forward for Irish SMEs to transform their IT infrastructure.
Gearoid Egan
Customer Success Manager
Having three years work experience behind him since graduating with a Bachelor of Science at Maynooth University, the experience of assisting people with solution design is what appeals most to Gearoid. With an engineering background on product esign, the transition to solution design under the Microsoft suite of services has been a seamless transition. As Customer Success Manager, Gearoid listens carefully to customers to analyse current inefficiencies or areas of collaboration/communication that needs to be improved upon for SMEs. A big believer in PaaS and SaaS solutions by Microsoft. A proud member of the current County Senior Hurler panel for Roscommon.
Tom Waldron
Financial Controller
As a former secondary school teacher, Tom has seen lots of change when it comes to technology over the past few years. For Tom, adopting from pen and paper to Microsoft Excel, to SaaS applications such as Surf and Dext, has been a successful switch of working methodologies and efficiencies for a role such as financial controller. As a qualified ACCA practitioner, the number-game comes easy for Tom. It turns out, learning new technologies is as natural as it comes to teaching maths for him. Manager of the CBS Hurling Team that got to an All-Ireland Hurling Final in 1992, where they reached the All-Ireland Semi-Final.
Ahmad Rafiq
Microsoft Cloud Engineer
Ahmad has just received his Azure Fundaments certification and has his roadmap set-out for more Azure exams over the coming year. He strongly believes in understanding the clients’ needs and has a real passion for automation techniques to ensure employees are more productive for their business. Ahmad loves what Power Automate can bring to a company, especially for those who want to find efficiencies in their daily workflow methods. Still not over Ireland beating Pakistan in 2007!

Waqas is our cloud engineer that has a real strength in Microsoft technologies, especially Azure Virtual Desktops and SharePoint. Waqas has worked with various SMEs in Ireland which gives him a great understanding that business should be driving the technology they have; and not the other way around. He is a firm believer that cloud technology adds value to a business whenever it is approached in the right manner. His approach is that not one cloud can offer a whole solution in a business which brings loyal clients. Believes Mayo will finally win soon!
